HEIC to JPG Converter
Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG in your browser: free, no upload, no signup.. Free to use right here. Nothing to install, no account needed.
iPhones save photos as HEIC, and plenty of places will not take them: Windows without an extra codec, many upload forms, older editors and print shops. Convert a HEIC photo to JPG here and it opens everywhere.
The photo never leaves your device. Safari reads HEIC itself; in Chrome, Edge and Firefox the page fetches a free decoder the first time you open a HEIC file (a few seconds), and the conversion still happens on your computer or phone.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my iPhone photos HEIC files?
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC by default because the files are about half the size of a JPG of the same quality. To get JPGs from the camera instead, choose Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.
Does the converted JPG keep the photo's location and camera details?
No. The JPG made here carries none of the original metadata, which also removes the location the iPhone recorded. Keep the HEIC if you need those details.
Can I convert many photos at once?
This page converts one photo at a time. For whole folders in your own app or script, the Bloodweb image API converts HEIC to JPG in bulk.
What about Live Photos?
A Live Photo is a HEIC still plus a separate short video. This page converts the still; the video part is not in the HEIC file.
