Frequently asked questions
PNG or JPG for a photo?
PNG keeps every pixel and is the better start for editing, but a photo as PNG is often three to five times bigger than a JPG. For sharing or uploading, use the HEIC to JPG converter instead.
Does the PNG keep the photo's metadata?
No. The location, camera and date details in the HEIC are not copied to the PNG.
Is there a size limit?
Only your device's memory. Very large photos can take a few seconds on a phone.
