WooCommerce to MyPost Business: The Ways to Connect Them, Compared

WooCommerce has your orders. MyPost Business has your discounted rates. Nothing joins them out of the box.

Australia Post's own guide says the connection runs "from your WooCommerce store to your MyPost Business account via a shipping platform", and names Sellerdash, ShipStation and Starshipit. Its MyPost Business Integrations Toolkit (PDF) ticks 17 platforms for WooCommerce.

They aren't all the same kind of tool, and they don't cost the same. This compares the four kinds, with prices taken from each vendor's own page on 30 September 2026. We make one of the options, the free CSV exporter, so we've stuck to what each vendor publishes and said plainly where ours falls short.

1. A shipping platform in the middle

This is the route Australia Post describes. The platform pulls your orders from WooCommerce, you pay for and print the labels in one go with your MyPost Business savings applied, and tracking details go to your customers automatically. The toolkit adds that some platforms "show you all the available shipping options for each of your orders", so you can pick a different carrier per parcel.

Starshipit

Starshipit's pricing page, in Australian dollars, billed monthly: Starter is A$50 a month for up to 100 labels, Starter Plus A$140 for up to 500, Professional A$200 for up to 1,000, and Professional Plus A$300 for up to 5,000. Yearly billing is about 10% less, so Starter works out at A$45 a month. It says it doesn't charge per-label fees on top of your carrier rates or plan, and it offers a 30-day free trial.

ShipStation

ShipStation's Australian pricing page lists prices including GST. Starter starts at A$22 a month for 50 shipments. Standard starts at A$55 a month for 50 shipments, and rises with volume: A$105 for 100 and A$154 for 500. Paying annually saves 20%, and there's a 30-day free trial.

One detail to check before you choose a plan: ShipStation's FAQ says you can connect your own carrier accounts on Standard or Premium, while Free and Starter plans use the pre-negotiated rates ShipStation provides. If you want to keep your own MyPost Business account and its rates, ask them which plan that needs.

Sellerdash

Australia Post's WooCommerce guide names Sellerdash. But Sellerdash's own site says its app "is built specifically for Shopify merchants", and Australia Post's integrations toolkit ticks it for Shopify only. If you're on WooCommerce, check with them before signing up.

The others

The toolkit also ticks Easyship, Interparcel, Shippit, Shippo and Smart Send for WooCommerce, among others. We haven't compared them here: see their own pricing pages.

Good for: stores shipping many parcels a day, using several carriers, or with staff who pack from one screen. The trade-off: a monthly fee whether it was a busy month or a quiet one, another dashboard, and your order data copied to another company.

2. A label and live-rates plugin inside WordPress

These plugins bring Australia Post into WooCommerce itself: postage quoted at checkout, and labels created from the Orders screen. Australia Post's toolkit ticks PluginHive, ELEX and WPRuby for WooCommerce.

• PluginHive, PH Australia Post MyPost Business Shipping for WooCommerce: shows MyPost Business rates from your own account at checkout, prints MyPost Business labels from the WooCommerce dashboard, and emails tracking updates. US$99 a year for one site, with a 14-day free trial.
• ELEX, WooCommerce Australia Post Shipping Plugin with Print Label & Tracking: real-time rates including MyPost Business, eParcel and StarTrack, and MyPost Business shipments created in bulk. From US$89 for one site, which includes a year of support and updates, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
• Woo's own Australia Post Shipping Method: A$155 a year. It's a rates extension, for quoting postage at checkout, and its page says it "does not support discounted or negotiated rates from an Australia Post Business account". So it won't show your MyPost Business prices.

Checkout rates are only as good as your product data. Woo's page puts it plainly: "your non-virtual products need accurate sizes and weights".

Good for: stores that want customers to see real postage at checkout, and to stay inside WordPress. The trade-off: accurate weights and dimensions on every product, a licence per site, and prices in US dollars for the two label plugins.

3. A generic order exporter and a spreadsheet

MyPost Business accepts a bulk CSV upload, so any tool that exports WooCommerce orders to CSV can get you there. Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce, for example, is free on WordPress.org and lets you choose, rename and reorder the columns it exports.

You map the columns to Australia Post's template once, then tidy each file. The tidying is the catch. The importer is strict about header quoting, dimension decimals, content weights and zero-value lines, and it rarely says which one it's refusing: see every MyPost Business CSV import error, explained. International rows are harder again, because each item needs its own customs line with an HS code (10 digits for the US) and a description EU customs will accept.

Good for: a few domestic orders, and an owner comfortable in a spreadsheet. Breaks at: the first international order, usually.

4. A purpose-built MyPost Business CSV exporter

This is ours. Tradewind CSV Exporter for Australia Post is free on WordPress.org. Tick orders on WooCommerce's Orders screen, choose Export AusPost manifest from Bulk actions, and download a domestic file, an international file, or both, ready for MyPost Business's bulk upload. It's built around the importer's rejections, writes a customs line per item on international orders, and sends nothing anywhere: it reads your orders and writes a file on your own server.

What it doesn't do, so you can compare fairly:

• No rates at checkout.
• No automatic sync. You choose the orders and upload the file yourself.
• No labels in WordPress. You pay for and print them in MyPost Business, as usual.
• No tracking numbers back on their own. The paid add-on, CSV Exporter Pro, imports a tracking CSV onto your orders. It also adds customs descriptions and HS codes per product, variation or category, and marks exported orders so the same order isn't uploaded twice.

Good for: stores already happy with MyPost Business that want a daily upload without a monthly subscription or another dashboard. Breaks at: the point you want everything automatic, or a choice of carrier for each parcel.

5. Typing them in

MyPost Business lets you create shipments one at a time. It costs nothing and it's fine for a few orders a week. Past that, you're retyping addresses you already have, and every retyped postcode is a chance for a mistake.

How to choose

• You want customers to see MyPost Business prices at checkout: a label and live-rates plugin.
• You ship dozens of parcels a day, or use several carriers: a shipping platform. Compare what each plan includes at your volume, and check it connects your own MyPost Business account on the plan you pick.
• You're happy uploading a file to MyPost Business once a day and want costs to stay flat: a CSV exporter.
• A few domestic orders a week: type them in, or use a generic exporter.
• Shipping overseas, whatever you choose: make sure it writes one customs line per product, with a 10-digit HS code for the US and a specific description for the EU. See how to add HS codes to WooCommerce products.
